The moon outlined the rooftops and chimneys
And the world descended into darkness
Winter’s chill stung my bleary eyes and ears
My heart grew cold and heavy over time
One day troubles fled from my heart far away
Like snowflakes danced in the wind on distance
My tears fell like rainbow-crowned showers
Later in a year the sky is brighter and clearer
A fleeting glimpse of the emotions, I’m crying again
The end of a year, we survived my tears
